Building a pool is a complex project. At times, it can feel like playing thirty games of chess at the same time…and needing to win every one! Design, engineering, permitting, excavation, plumbing, electrical, inspections, materials, scheduling…they all have to happen in the right order, and if any piece is mishandled, the client is the one who feels it.
Modern Aquatic was created to make that experience better. Our goal is not only to build a beautiful, high-quality pool, but to make the process clearer, more organized, and less stressful from the first conversation to the final walkthrough.
A good client experience starts with having the right people involved early. With Modern Aquatic, you work directly with experienced pool professionals, not a commission-based salesperson who disappears after the contract is signed. John Herr, our founder and principal designer, brings decades of pool-building experience to the design and planning process, with a practical understanding of what works, potential problems, and what details need to be solved before construction begins.
We worked with John for our pool, and he was great from the very beginning. He worked within our budget, came up with a great design and was flexible when we ran into some issues with our site/soil.
