Modern Aquatic builds shotcrete (concrete) and fiberglass pools.
While vinyl liner pools are the least expensive type of pool construction, we don’t offer them because they are much less durable because the liner must be replaced every 10 years or less. Because of this, the warranty on vinyl liner pools is generally only 1-10 years.
Every pool we build includes low-voltage LED pool lights (no high voltage at the pool!) and unblockable main drains. We also offer options like AI pool monitoring, chemical automation, and hydraulic automatic safety covers.

Yes, a permit is required. At Modern Aquatic we take care of the permitting for you. Our in-house designer and engineer will develop the pool plans and then work directly with your city or county to obtain the pool permit. Each building department works differently; some issue permits immediately over the counter while others can take weeks or months of plan review.
Pool construction typically requires multiple inspections for electrical, gas, plumbing, erosion/soils, and mechanical (venting).
Modern Aquatic builds pools for both residential and commercial.
On average, pool construction generally takes about 4 months from excavation to completion.
Fall and winter are the best times to build a pool! Building in the fall/winter is ideal, because it’s faster and less stressful than building in the spring/summer.
Modern Aquatic does not have finance options. You’ll find the best rates with online finance companies or with your own bank or credit union.

Some say the value of the home will increase by 50% of the cost of the pool…but that can be misleading. The effective added value of a pool can be significant (up to 75%) for potential buyers who want a pool, and on the other hand, the added value can be as low as zero for potential buyers who don’t want a pool.
The cost to filter and heat a pool in Colorado varies greatly based on factors including: size, auto cover, gas type, location, etc. A rough estimate for a typical 16’ x 32’ pool in Colorado with an automatic cover used during standard swim season can be $60–80 per month total for natural gas and electric. At the other end of the range, a pool of the same size using propane and operated year-round with no cover can cost $1000+ to heat in January.
Absolutely! There are a few different types of fluid-based solar panels that are great options to heat your pool. Photovoltaic solar (i.e., which generates electricity) cannot heat a pool, but can be used to power the pool pump.
